Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Citizens for William BJ Hall (the “campaign,” “we,” or “us”) handles information through this campaign website. It covers our website forms, Inside 29B, and website cookies. Separate services you visit through links have their own privacy policies.
Email bj.hall@rbal1.org or write to Citizens for William BJ Hall, PO Box 101, Lexington Park, MD 20653.
Information you provide
When you contact us, volunteer, request a yard sign, offer to host an event, or request updates, we receive the information you submit. This may include your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, volunteer interests, sign delivery details, and message. Please avoid including financial account details, government identification numbers, medical information, or other sensitive personal information in website messages.
Authorized administrators also provide sign-in credentials, article text, and photos. Draft articles and unpublished uploads are restricted to the authenticated administrator. Published articles and their images are visible to visitors.
Technical information and necessary storage
Our hosting and security services process technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, requested pages, and error or security logs to deliver and protect the website. Administrator sign-in uses a protected session cookie. Browser session storage remembers when you dismiss an event invitation. Local storage remembers a privacy choice for up to 180 days. These features are separate from optional advertising cookies.
How we use information
- Respond to questions and coordinate volunteering, events, and yard signs.
- Send campaign updates that you request.
- Publish campaign articles and manage the authorized publishing account.
- Operate the website, troubleshoot problems, and prevent misuse.
- Meet applicable recordkeeping obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Submitting a contact request does not by itself enroll you in automated text-message marketing. Any separate text-message program will present its own consent and opt-out terms.
Services and information sharing
Website forms are delivered to the campaign through Resend. Vercel provides website hosting and private storage for publishing. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. Campaign personnel may access information to respond to you and administer campaign activities. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the website or the rights and safety of others.
Donation and event-ticket links take you to Anedot. Payment and donor information entered there is handled by Anedot and the campaign under the applicable checkout notices and campaign-finance requirements. Our website forms do not collect card numbers.
Meta Pixel and advertising choices
The website is prepared to support Meta Pixel, but advertising tracking is optional. When Meta Pixel is enabled and you allow advertising cookies, Meta may collect or receive information about your visit, including online identifiers, browser or device information, the page you visit, and interaction data. This can be used to measure advertising performance and deliver ads across Meta services. Meta processes information under its own policies and may associate it with information it already holds about you.
Our integration does not load Meta Pixel before you allow advertising cookies. It does not send the contents of campaign forms, administrator credentials, or unpublished articles to Meta, and it is excluded from the Admin page. You can decline advertising cookies, or withdraw a previous choice, through Privacy choices in the footer. A Global Privacy Control signal disables advertising tracking in our integration. Choices apply to the browser and device where you make them; clearing browser storage may reset them.
Withdrawing permission stops future tracking through our integration; it does not delete information already received by Meta. Learn more in Meta’s Privacy Policy and manage advertising preferences in your Meta account. The Privacy choices panel identifies whether Meta Pixel is currently enabled.
Your requests and preferences
You may contact us to ask about information you have provided, request a correction or deletion, or stop campaign email updates. Use an unsubscribe link where provided or email the campaign with your request. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where applicable law or legitimate recordkeeping needs require it. Available legal rights depend on your location and the laws that apply.
Email bj.hall@rbal1.org or write to Citizens for William BJ Hall, PO Box 101, Lexington Park, MD 20653.
Retention and security
We keep information for campaign operations, the purposes described here, and applicable recordkeeping needs. Retention depends on the type of information and its purpose. The site uses encrypted connections, restricted publishing access, and private storage for drafts. No website or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
Children and external websites
This website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. Please contact us if you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information so we can address it. External websites and social-media platforms operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as website features or information practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected in an updated notice and, where required, a renewed choice.
